While on residency in Cork City, Ireland at Meitheal Mara, translated as "sea community," design studio BCXSY sought to apply boat-building tactics to pieces for the home.

BCXSY was fascinated by a crucial tool of boat-building - improvised plywood clamps.

They gravitated towards its simple ingenuity, which inspired the design of a table that didn't require tools to assemble.

With a plywood core finished in luxury laminate surfaces, Contrast Tables are both sturdy and stylish.

BCXSY was "fascinated by the thin line between what is real and what is unreal" when exploring the use of laminates. The material allowed them to create combinations that wouldn't have been possible otherwise.
