The Kaolin rice bowl honors the most important piece in the Asian family cupboard. Perfectly sized to fit in the hand and proportioned for individual servings, the rice bowl is a single vessel that can carry an Asian meal from beginning to end. It's also perfectly sized for noodles and soup or yogurt and dips. The bowl rests on a sculptural foot in the form of a spherical cross-section. Each piece was made with care by an artisan workshop in Vermont, using a custom porcelain clay mix. Available in white and graphite. Dimensions: 5” D x 2.75” H.

Care for your Kaolin: The rice bowl is dishwasher safe; however we recommend hand washing. The unglazed exterior of the bowl is susceptible to staining, so avoid serving beets, pomegranate, turmeric, and other highly pigmented foods in this piece.

Designed by Farrah Sit, founder of Light + Ladder. Her work is inspired by the stillness experienced in the natural world. The Kaolin Collection marks Farrah’s second collaboration with Tortuga Forma.
